I'm a stay at home mom of two who loves to craft, photograph, and hang out with my kids.  I've dabbled in way too many crafts--from knitting, to crocheting, to sewing, to beading, to just about every other craft you can think of.  I'm embracing my compulsive craft behavior and sharing our crafty house in hopes of inspiring others to pick up a crochet hook or knitting needles or whatever other craft may tickle your fancy.  This is our story, taking each day, one craft at a time!

  1. I too am one of those who's tried a little of everything in the craft world! My top current hobbies are sewing and crochet, but once upon a time I did bead work as well!

BTW I am now following your blog! I'm looking forward to seeing new posts!

  2. Do you allow others to sell products made with your patterns if they give you credit?

  3. Hi,

I am the owner of crochetpatternbonanza(.)com, a free crochet pattern directory. Just wanted to let you know that I’m updating my website and wanted to make sure that I have your permission to use your images for linking back to your free crochet patterns and/or tutorials.

You can find more information on this page: http://crochetpatternbonanza.com/submit-your-links.html

Thank you so much for your time and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

  4. I ordered your easy cable double cowl pattern yesterday because I have made it before and love it, but couldn't find the pattern (which was a free download then). I did up the pattern last nigh, which called for 14 stitches (that should have been a red flag) and didn't realize until it was nearly down that it is about as wide as the children's double cowls that I have made. Waaay too narrow for an adult. My cowl that I made before with your pattern had 28 stiches. I'm going to rip this out now and re-do. Just thought you ought to know. Thanks.

    1. Hi there, Cally. Thanks for contacting me. Hmmm…. my easy cable double cowl pattern was never a free pattern. Perhaps you were thinking of this cabled cowl pattern, which is still free? http://www.acraftyhouse.com/2011/11/quick-knitted-cabled-cowl-pattern.html This one is wider than the double cowl pattern, which is meant to be much thinner, but it is supposed to be wrapped around twice. I hope that helps!
