An Update: A Little Organizing and Some Tubes

We've been busy this week! I thought I'd give you all a little update since I haven't posted many projects or patterns this week. Don't worry, I have a lot in the works and you'll be pleasantly surprised soon. We started off the week with some closet organization by finally donating a ton of clothes. I mean, why did I feel the need to keep sweaters from college (yes, I just said college)? Why did I keep all of my old work clothes? The Ann Taylor blazers and suits from eight years ago just aren't necessary anymore (even if I was working!). I parted with a lot of clothes and while it was difficult to say good bye, I am enjoying my closet and drawers much more now.

Here's a pic of M behind the mound of clothes before they were hauled off to St. Vincent DePaul. I know it's hard to find her amongst the massive mound of clothes on my bed.

I even inspired the hubby to go through his closet and here are all of the bags we donated!

It's been so warm that we got to play outside in the backyard yesterday. The little guy discovered our slide for the first time and can even go up and down on his own....

M enjoyed being the big sister. It's amazing what changes in a year! She's now pushing her brother in the swing and showing him how to build sand castles.

In other news, our little guy got tubes in both of his ears this morning. M went to a friend's house at 6 am and then we drove downtown for C's surgery. We were home by 10 am and he's already a better kid! Hopefully we won't be battling ear infections any longer.... Here he is enjoying a chocolate chip cookie. We had an amazing dinner (and dessert) from a friend.
