I've seen so many bright and fun cowls for spring and I decided today that it was time to create one of my own. It's a simple cowl made out of a crochet chain wrapped around 10 times and uniquely finished so that it stays put. Check it out on Etsy!

We've been stuck in the house for the past couple of days and I've been eager to come up with a new sweater shrug design. This is my favorite garment right now -- it's super easy to make and crochets up super quick! My husband and I made the trek through a couple of feet of snow to get this photographed today. I couldn't use my tripod and remote, so the hubs graciously agreed to help me out. The pattern is available on my Etsy site here and if you don't feel like making it yourself, you can buy it here!

I have to admit, I haven't seen any of The Hunger Games movies and I haven't read the books either. I seriously can't remember the last time I saw a movie in the theater -- that's what life is like with two little ones. Even though I haven't been a connoisseur of all things Hunger Games, I've been intrigued by all of the talk of Katniss Everdeen's knit cowl. This garment is all of the rage on Etsy, Ravelry, and all over blogs. I have to admit, an Etsy shopper brought this to my attention and encouraged me to come up with my own pattern…… so here's my crocheted Katniss Everdeen cowl/scarf/vest. It's a pretty quick project and can be completed with 2.5 skeins of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn :) My pattern is listed in my Etsy shop and if you don't feel like making this yourself, you can purchase the finished item here.
